• The Torchlit Founder (That's me!)

Hey, thank you so much for taking the time to read this! I'm a college student learning to become an accountant (ew. boring. I know.) I've been selling my art since I was about 5 years-old. I'm pretty sure it wasn't any good, but it gave me the confidence to try new things (like clothing!) and improve on older talents (like graphic design!).

I try to keep the website a little less professional and a little more entertaining because I feel that there is too much pressure in society. Sometimes people need a little bit of a break! Even if it's just a simple bio on an item.

  • Why create a clothing company?

Normally, clothing is a little too flashy for my taste. People add designs on the sleeves, front, and back of their shirts and leave out any room for negative space. The quality is also normally pretty scratchy and overpriced.

Bigger companies also like to slap their brand across the front of all of their clothing and I don't feel like walking around as their personal billboard some days. There's absolutely no hate to any other creators! Obviously they're doing great for a reason. It's just not my speed.

This is why I created Torchlit. It's simple and comfortable!

  • Photography

All of the bad product photography is done by me, the store owner! The hardest part, oddly, is trying to make sure that the color of the product actually matches their real life counterpart! Which is why I would like to introduce a better photographer: Aaron Salazar

He actually has a camera and knows how to use it. I'm grateful for all of his help and new photos should be coming in soon! I do still try to edit all of the photos to try and match the color palette of the website

  • Products & Testing

Everything sold on this website is approved by me, the owner. I spend a full 24 hours wearing or using the sample pieces to test the durability and quality. I wouldn't want to sell something I wouldn't buy.

This is a very small company with limited funding, however, so if you would like an item that is out of stock or does not currently exist, please send me a message through facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, or (preferably) through email / the "contact me" form down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

  • Designs

I've created virtually every design on this website from the logo to the pins to the actual designs on the clothing. I go purely based on inspiration and the influences from my friends and family with a dash of social media. I wish I could write more about my process, but I essentially just throw something on the wall and hope it sticks. If it doesn't, I grab some key features from that project and try again.

Although I do enjoy creating and designing, I do like to support artists from all around the world. Feel free to check out our Blog tab for info on some of their designs!

  • About The Wildman

Hello. My name is Hratli, an amateur leatherworking hobbyist who has taken a big step into selling my products of the trade.

I am a father, gamer, cook, gardener, etc., basically a jack of all trades as the need comes along. I've always been one for self reliance and survival as well as doing nerdy things like D&D or ren fairs. I took up the hobby of blacksmithing after high school and then later leatherworking. Unfortunately my shop setup was destroyed by hurricane Laura with only my anvil and strawberry bush surviving. My situation didn't keep me down and I kept on keepin' on. This has led me to the now, where my hopes are to get back into my hobbies and making excellent things for folks.

  • About Wildman Wares

The name Wildman Wares was due to my gamer persona, Zog the Caveman, where my go to theme would always revolve around playing as a caveman. Good times were had, lots of laughs, and I still do it to this day. So caveman theme it is for my up and coming company. I hope you will enjoy the caveman themed products that I'll have here.

My skills as a leatherworker and blacksmith are far from professional level as I still have so much to learn from these trades. All I ask is for your patience, for you to enjoy your product, and to grow with me as I continue my adventure of self reliance and cavemannery...
